Hello Friends!!! Happy Monday!!! I am so excited to show you another quick and easy card that you can make in no time!!!
By now you all know that I enjoy cardmaking but don’t have much time to enjoy as much as I would love to, with a full time job, a husband and a little one, my time gets filled pretty quickly, so I have learned to still enjoy this paper crafting passion of mine, but I need to come up with quick and easy cards, so I can squeeze cardmaking into my life..
Honestly speaking I feel like paper crafting really keeps me sane, and when I don’t create I feel like the stress starts to build up, so I really think that still making time to make cards has helped me to keep myself sane and in check 🙂 and learning how to make quick and easy has even made this better for me, as I get the instant gratification on finishing my cards in no time.. I feel frustrated if I have to spend a lot of time in one project, specially cause that means multiple days, as I don’t have much time available in one single day, so quick and easy has become more and more my go-to for paper crafting.. I am sure you can relate with me..
I still want to hand made my cards and make one-of-a-kind card to a special someone, but I need to accommodate the fact that time is not so much available lately.. ha!
This card used the petal passion memories and more card pack, and the cake soiree stamp set for the sentiment, really there is little stamping and the coloring is so easy when using the stampin’ blends markers, I love our alcohol based markers, they make it so easy to color, and it all looks so professional, you can blend the colors so easy and I love that you don’t see the strokes you make when coloring as with other non-alcohol based markers..
As you can see on the close up picture I added wink of stella to the flowers as this adds the shimmery look on the flowers, making them look even more beautiful, don’t you think?
Using any of the memories and more card packs that we have available makes the card making process so easy, as you just need to embellish and don’t have to spend too much time in the designing process.. also because all the products from Stampin’ Up! color coordinate beautifully, this process is even easier, as the embellishments, paper, ink all color coordinate perfectly, so give it a try next time you are making a card.. you will see how easy this is 🙂 let me know how it goes..
As always, below is the list of items I use to make this card, you can click on any of the images below to go to my online store where you can purchase any of the items you need to duplicate this card.
Also don’t forget that in 2018 when you make an online order with me using the monthly hostess code, I will send the monthly card kit for you to make FOUR cards..
The hostess code for February is 2CZZVCAP
Also it is still Sale-A-Bration time so for every $50 or $100 you get a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure.. there are no limits!!!
Hello Friends!! today I am sharing a video I made to show the different type of stamps that Stampin’ Up! offers, from time to time I get questions as to what are the differences on the different stamp sets, so hopefully you find this helpful..
Let me know if you have any questions or if there is something in particular you want me to show you, I know a few friends have asked me about showing the big shot and what do we do with it, and when to use the different platforms, so I will be doing a series about the big shot as well soon.. 🙂
Type of stamps : Clear-mount and wood-mount and Photopolymer
I think I get most of the questions regarding Clear-mount stamps, please know that these are the ones we mount on the acrylics, but the stamp type is exactly the same as the wood-mount, it is the red rubber stamp, you cannot see thru the stamp, and it allows a really good image when stamping, it has a foam cushion built in, whether it is the wood-mount or the clear-mount, which helps in the stamping process.
Some things to consider.. you might want to cut the edges of the red rubber stamps so that you don’t get “unwanted shadows” when stamping, for clear mount, you might not want to put the stickers on the foam part, I found that for TX if I put the sticker, my stamp would not cling as well to the acrylic block as when they don’t have the sticker, if you however want to add the sticker, you might want to add some non permanent glue, so they cling better to the acrylic block.. also be sure to always clean your acrylic blocks, if there is grease on it, sometimes stamps will not cling as well..
As far as storage of Stampin’ Up! stamps sets, the wood-mount stamps comes in a thicker case as it needs to fit the stamps and the wood blocks, and the clear-mount stamps comes in a DVD-like box, so it is thinner and it is more convenient for me, as I don’t have much space in my stamping room, so also consider the space that you have for storing your stamps.. 🙂 like I mentioned in my video, I truly prefer the clear-mount stamps over the wood-mount.
Finally there is the photopolymer stamp sets, these are the clear stamps and you can see thru the stamps, so when positioning in a stamping project is key, this would be the prefer option, Stampin’ Up! has been great about this, as most of the two-step stamps are now being manufactured in photopolymer, making your cardmaking experience so much easy, as in the past we would need to use tools like the Stamp-a-magic, which honestly I loved using, but it was not everyone’s cup of tea 😉
Things to consider on the photopolymer type of stamps is that they get stained as you used them, no matter how well or soon after using them you clean them, this is totally normal, there will be some left over stain to the stamp, however this will not impact in no way your future projects with this stamp, it will always stamp in the color you are inking, I really don’t mind this natural staining but I know some people get really bugged when the stamp look brown-ish, just know they show how well loved they are 🙂
Hope you have enjoyed this video and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate in contacting me..
Also don’t forget that we are still on Sale-a-bration, so for every $50 or $100 you spend on my online store you get a free item from the sale-a-bration brochure!! this is the best promotion that Stampin’ Up! offers, so don’t miss out.. 🙂
