Hello Friends!! Today I am participating on a very special blog hop to raise awareness about Autism!

April is the Autism Awareness month, and to kick it off a group of demonstrators are participating on this blog hop where we will be sharing some facts about Autism, which will hopefully help us all to learn more about this disorder that is impacting so many kids.

The facts that I am sharing are the following:

  • Prevalence of autism in U.S. children increased by 119.4 percent from 2000 (1 in 150) to 2010 (1 in 68). (CDC, 2014) Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability. (CDC, 2008)

  • Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life and is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain, impacting development in the areas of social interaction and communication skills. www.autism-society.org
  • Autism is a spectrum disorder and it affects each individual differently and at varying degrees. www.autism-society.org

As I was reading about Autism, I just started to think on the families that are going thru this with their loved ones, learning about this disability and how to help their kids as they are growing,  but also it made me think of the lots of difficulties that they might be having as not everyone is really knowledgeable about this disorder, and in some cases people might be thinking that these kids are just not wanting to behave..

We are also sharing a link in case you want to donate to the Organization for Autism Research, you can donate HERE

I didn’t know that Blue was a color to represent Autism, so our projects will be the majority in blue, please be sure to visit all blogs as you will get some inspiration as we all learn more about Autism 🙂

For my card I used the Hedgehugs stamp set, and I think the sentiment is just perfect!, I used the dapper denim as this color is coordinating really well with the eastern palace designer series paper. I know I have said this before, but I truly love that Stampin’ Up! does fantastic regarding color coordination, everything coordinates perfectly, embellishments, inks, cardstock, designer series paper, it really makes it so easy when card making.. 🙂

You can watch the video tutorial below to see how this card is made, I go over measurements on the video, and I show you a very easy coloring technique with markers 🙂 I am sure you will enjoy it!

Also here is the supply list for all the items I use to make these cards, you can click at any of the images to go to my online store, where you can purchase any of these items!! thanks a lot!! I truly appreciate your support, also don’t forget….
