Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop – Christmas Theme

Hello Friends! Today I am participating in the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop and the theme for this month’s hop is Christmas!!! I love Christmas, so I am excited to see what everyone will be showing on this blog hop.

Make sure you visit all the participating blogs as I am sure you will find great ideas from demonstrators around the world!! also don’t forget to have a pen and paper ready to write down all the items you like as you hop with us, I am sure you will want to get some of the Stampin’ Up! items being showcased on this hop!! and when you purchase with me online (US) you get the monthly card kit of the month (you can read more below).

The card I am showing today is featuring the Snowflake Showcase which is only available in November, while supply lasts, so if you like any of the products on this showcase get them while you still can!.. 🙂 You can see all the products on this promotion HERE so far the only item not longer available is the velveteen paper.. it is already gone.. so do not wait too long.  🙂
Check out this post to get some tips on how to make a beautiful Tag using the products from the Snowflake showcase promotion!!! www.creatingwithallie.com #stampinup #alejandragomez #creatingwithallie #cardclassestogowithallie #videotutorial #cardmaking #papercrafts #handmadegreetingcards #fun #creativity #makeacard #sendacard #stampingisfun #sharewhatyoulove #handmadecards #friendshipcards #snoflakeshowcase
I used the Snowfall thinlits and the Buffalo Check stamp set!
I would recommend to use the stamparatus when stamping the buffalo check stamp set to ensure you get the look you want on the background image, you can re-ink and re-stamp onto the first stamped image so you get a darker/crispier image.
Also this time I did something different with the Buffalo Check stamp set, I stamped it in Crumb Cake onto Crumb Cake cardstock, and then I added some lines using the regular markers (Early Espresso) and the stamping blends (Cherry Cobler light shade). I did found out that it was easier to use a quilter’s ruler since you can see thru and you can see how much of a distance from each line you want to mark the lines. Just remember to clean your ruler after its use as it will get stained and could potentially smear some of this color on your project 🙂

For the snowflake, I used the snowfall thinlits and die cut them in Gold Foil paper, I also die cut a shadow snowflake in cherry cobbler to put in between the large and small snowflake and to finish it up, I added a gold faceted gem on the smaller snowflake. If you are wondering where is this sentiment, this is actually from the Christmas Pines stamp set, which is on the annual catalog, this stamp set is from last year.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, please remember to continue visiting every blog participating on this hop! I am sure you will love it!! you can see the full line up below.

Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog hop

Hello Friends!! Today I am participating on Kylie’s Demonstrator training, and while there is not an specific theme for this hop, I am sure you will really enjoy hopping with us and see all the beautiful projects we are sharing on this blog hop, plus you will get to know lots of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! how exciting is that!

The card I am featuring in my blog today is to show you how easy card making is with the Snowfall thinlits dies. This die set is part of the Snowflake Showcase promotion.
Over the next few days I will be showing you some cards I have been making with the Snowflake showcase products!! Believe me, these products are really great for lots of type of cards, as there is a stamp set for Winter and one that is more for Spring/Summer time frame, so these can be used for lots of occasions..  you can see all the products on this promotion HERE

The snowfall thinlits dies can be paired with lots of your Christmas stamp sets, as you can see on this card! In this case I paired it with the Feathers & Frost stamp set! is this card not gorgeous?? seriously!! I love how this one looks!!
Check out this blog post with instructions on how to make this card with Tips and Tricks for making handmade cards using Stampin Up's Snowflake showcase products! You will love how quick and easy this is to make! www.creatingwithallie.com #stampinup #alejandragomez #creatingwithallie #videotutorial #cardmaking #papercrafts #handmadegreetingcards #fun #creativity #makeacard #sendacard #stampingisfun #sharewhatyoulove #wintercards #brandnewproducts #snowflakeshowcase

I used one of the cards out of the Silver Foil-Edged cards and envelopes pack. What I like about this card pack, is that I can get that elegant look that the silver foil edge gives to cards without having to use a really large piece of silver foil sheets on it, I always feel like I would waste so much of this gorgeous paper and only little show up, so most of the time I end up not adding the foil to my projects this way.

The large snowflake was die cut with silver glimmer paper and the little snowflake was cut with velveteen paper, which sadly has already retired, it was such a great product that it sold out really fast.. so if you like any of the products from the Snowflake Showcase promotion don’t wait too long as these are while supply lasts..

One thing to know is that when die cutting the snowflakes you want to use the precision base plate as these dies are very intricate, and you can use the big shot die brush has well to help you remove all the little pieces from the snowflake this really saves lots of time. 🙂

This card was part of my Facebook live event at the beginning of November.. If you didn’t know I do a Facebook live every Thursday at 7pm CST on my facebook page HERE where I show you how easy it is to make cards, I usually do three cards, and this event was no exception, so here is the video where you can see these three cards, I go over measurements and instructions on the video!

Thank you so much for stopping by, don’t forget to see all the blogs participating on today’s blog hop!, see the full line up below. Happy stamping!

Tag made with Snowflake showcase products!

Hello Friends!! The project I am showing today is a Tag I made for the people who took my Alpine Adventure Card Class To-Go, I think it added a special touch to the packets being sent and it gave them an extra idea of a quick and easy tag that they can do for the upcoming holidays.

What do you think? do you like it? I think this tag would go really nice on a gift bag for the holidays for that special person.. I am sure that whoever receives a gift with this tag on it would feel extra special cause they would know that not only did you take the time to look for his/her gift but also you took the time in wrapping it on a special way! I love when I receive a gift that has been customized or wrapped in a special way, as it always made me feel as the person who gifted it to me really thought of me.
As I mentioned above because I made this tag for the Alpine Adventure Card Class To-Go I wanted it to coordinate with the class, so I used the Alpine Adventure stamp set for the sentiment ans the Festive Farmhouse designer series paper.

For this tag I die cut the snowflake with the snowfall thinlits set in Gold foil sheets.. To be able to add this tag to the gift bag you could use the Gold Library Clips.  The one I used in this projects is the Gold Binder Clip, however this item has already retired so it is not longer available, but you can substitute with the Gold Library Clip and it will look amazing as well.

If you like the project shown today, below is the supply list for all the items I used to make it. Handmade card featuring products from Snowflake showcase

Hello Friends! as I mentioned on my previous post, in the following days I will be showing you cards featuring the products from the Snowflake showcase!! If you have not seen these products you can CLICK HERE to learn more..

The card I am showing today uses the Snowfall thinlits and it is paired with the Buffalo Check stamp set for the background and the Ribbon of Courage stamp set for the sentiment! The color (Blushing Bride) is not my typical color for a winter card, however I think it looks pretty all together, don’t you agree?
Check out this post to get some tips on how to make a beautiful card using the products from the Snowflake showcase promotion!!! www.creatingwithallie.com #stampinup #alejandragomez #creatingwithallie #cardclassestogowithallie #videotutorial #cardmaking #papercrafts #handmadegreetingcards #fun #creativity #makeacard #sendacard #stampingisfun #sharewhatyoulove #handmadecards #friendshipcards #snoflakeshowcase
The large snowflake was cut using the White Velveteen Sheets released with this promotion and the smaller snowflake was die cut out of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. I can tell you that both of these snowflakes were easy to die cut, just remember to use the precision plate when die-cutting them as these thinlits are more detailed. You also want to use the big shot brush to remove all the little pieces from the die cut, that way you don’t have to be poking out all these pieces one by one.

As for the background, because the Buffalo Check stamp set is a large stamp, you want to use the stamparatus, which is our stamp positioning tool, so that if there are areas not well covered when stamping, you can re-ink and stamp again, that way you get the look you like with this stamp set! I love using the stamparatus as it ensures that I get a crisp image transfer when stamping.

You can see a close up of the snowflake dies on this picture, and if you noticed, I also added one of the snowflake trinkets to the snowflake die cuts.

I added the snowflakes on to a large circle die-cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. This framelits set is honestly one of my staples for dies in my crafting room, I think I used these framelits in almost all the cards I made. If you don’t have these you really want to consider getting them. I love the stitches it makes on the shapes and this set has Three different shapes – Circles, Ovals and Squares, in different sizes each, also these shapes can be paired with the layering circles, layering ovals and layering squares to get an extra layer using the scalloped shapes on each of these sets!

If you are just starting building your collection of dies and stamps, you might want to consider purchasing the starter kit, which I also call it the best bundle we have! you can pick up to $125 worth of products but only pay $99 plus taxes, there is no shipping so you save an extra 10% right there, and to sweeten the deal, you get at least a 20% discount on future purchases when you get the products from yourself. This is truly the best way to build your collection little by little and with a discount!
